About Us
Where Stories Take Center Stage and Everyone Belongs
At Cookeville Theatre Company (CTC), we believe in the transformative power of live theatre to connect, inspire, and uplift. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2019, we are driven by a mission to create high-quality, inclusive theatre experiences that reflect the rich diversity and spirit of our community. Under the visionary leadership of Founder and President Kathleen Gilpatrick—whose 30+ years in the arts continue to shape our work—CTC has grown into a vibrant cultural hub where creativity thrives and every voice matters. From bold contemporary dramas to beloved classics and joyful musicals, we bring stories to life that entertain, challenge, and unite audiences of all ages. Our organization is proudly led by a dynamic board of directors composed of local artists, educators, students, business leaders, and community members. Together, we are committed to nurturing talent, fostering accessibility, and offering opportunities both on and off stage for individuals of all backgrounds. At CTC, the curtain may rise and fall, but our passion for community, storytelling, and belonging remains center stage.
